This has been one of my go to meals while camping for a very long time. I bet most of you make this simple camping meal as well when you are out. That being said I am going to post my recipe anyhow!
The photo below was taken when I took my daughter out for a day of fishing! I'll post a photo from that day of me and her and the bottom of this post!
4 Hamburger Patties
1 Large Potato
Preparation: (can be done at home)
Unroll 2 decent length of tin foil.
Place 2 hamburger patties side by side in the center of each.
Sprinkle with Seasoned Salt
Slice up potato in about 1/4 inch slices and place half in each on and around hamburger patties.
Put a handful of carrot slices on top of each.
Slice onion and put 2 or 3 rings on top of each.
Sprinkle again with seasoned salt.
Fold the tin foil tightly around the items.
Either place on a grill directly over fire or place directly on coals. Cook for 30 minutes.
Makes 2 servings.
As I am sitting here writing this my senses are going nuts. I can almost taste is and smell the fire with the cooking food on it. I can even hear the boiling of the ingredients inside of the foil pouch! Yum.
Please leave a comment about a time you made this or any improvements or variations you do when making these.
Thanks for reading!
